After reaching three consecutive losses for the first time this season, the Clippers managed to refocus their energy and come back with a big win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are a solid team, with a record very close to the Clippers, so this win was no fluke. The Clippers have four more games at home and they’re going to need every one of them if they want to make it to the playoffs.

All-Star’s Blake Griffin and Chris Paul both played very well against the Grizzlies. Griffin pulled out 20 points, his thirtieth double-double this season, and Paul was in a close second with 19 points. Nick Young had his best game yet with Lob City, since he was traded a couple weeks ago from the Washington Wizards, amassing 16 points. Randy Foye, filling in for Mo Williams, also played great with 18 points.

The Hornets have a terrible record for the 2011-2012 season and they’ll be down at least three players including their forward Jason Smith who was thrown out of last Thursday’s Clippers-Hornets game after a flagrant two foul and was suspended for two games. In the fourth quarter, Mo Williams was injured going after the ball and had to limp off the court. The injury seems to be with his big left toe, but an on-site injury came up negative. We’re not really sure how bad the injury is, but we wish Mo a speedy recovery. Williams can be one of the Clippers top scorers when he’s on his game.

As for the game itself, the Clippers basically lost the game in the final quarter. Starting off strong with 35 points, this looked to be the Clippers game. They were even up 13 points in the third quarter, but they couldn’t hold their shooting together and only made 11 points in the last quarter. The Clippers ended up giving the Hornets 34 free throws by the end of the game and they couldn’t keep the fouls down. Lob City will have a chance to get some revenge on March 26^th when the Clippers host New Orleans at home.

A game against the Memphis Grizzlies is up next for the Clippers. This win would be easy on any other day of the week, but the Clippers are playing their third game in a row and they’re playing against two losses. They haven’t had three losses in a row yet this season and 1-800LoanMart thinks they can turn it around this evening!

Everyone at 1-800LoanMart is excited for the Clippers to get back to the Staples Center this Thursday and finish up their miniature road trip which began on Tuesday with a stop in Indiana. The Pacers are a good team with a record that’s approximately equal to that of the Clippers. Despite starting out well with 31 points, the Clippers were unable to keep up the momentum during the rest of the game. Blake Griffin had 23 points in the game, but most of them came towards the beginning and he was unable to keep it up during all of his 32 minutes of play.

On Wednesday, Blake Griffin, the often workhorse for 1-800LoanMart’s official partners, was having an off day. Though he probably hoped to make a great showing in his home town, the All-Star only made seven points. Lob Angeles started the game pretty well with 30 points, but, again, couldn’t match the pace of their opponents, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder was shooting well and the Clippers weren’t and that’s not going to win a game against the current Western Conference leaders.

The Clippers, even fatigued, will certainly be able to grind out a win against the New Orleans Hornets today. When they had Chris Paul paving the way, the Hornets were doing quite well even if they never managed to win it all. Without Paul, the Hornets are struggling and 1-800LoanMart knows this one is going to go in the Clippers favor. Lob City didn’t beat the Pistons until an extra, overtime round, but the game enfolded similarly with Chris Paul once again giving it his all at the very end to secure the win for the Clippers. He had 9 points in overtime, which singlehandedly matched the Pistons entire overtime output. There was also great play from Blake Griffin who had 17 points.

The big news circling around the Clipper Nation is about Nick Young who played on Sunday after his trade was completed only hours before. Young’s a great player and will be a tremendous asset once he’s had time to adjust to the Clippers. He still landed 9 points, a lot better than when Kenyon Martin first played with Lob City, and we’re sure he’ll settle into a groove after a couple more games. 1-800LoanMart is rooting for you, Nick!

It was a good strategy not over-exerting Griffin the day before as he racked up 25 points for Lob City. The Clippers played great in the first three quarters and all the offense seemed together until the last quarter where the Clippers couldn’t seem to make any points and let the Phoenix Suns walk away with an undeserved win. At the very least, it looks like Caron Butler is back after a month-long scoring slump and could be a great asset today against Houston.

In non-game news, the Clippers have traded forward Brian Cook for Wizards’ shooting guard Nick Young. Cook has only played 28 minutes over the course of the last two months, so the trade is a no-brainer for the Clippers who will be getting some crucial assistance in the backend left open by the loss of Chauncey Billups. 1-800LoanMart doesn’t yet have a clever nickname or anything, but Young is going to work really well in conjunction with Chris Paul.

This was a physical game on both sides throughout the entire four quarters. Before halftime occurred, the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics had five technical fouls combined. Our employees at the game on Monday night witnessed some cold stare downs between the two teams.

This game had many lead changes along with spurts of momentum shifting between the two teams. The fourth quarter was exciting to watch and had the fans and title loan customers at 1-800LoanMart on the edge of their seats. Now they will be looking to regroup during this home stand and play their brand of basketball that put them in first place for the Pacific Western Conference.

1-800LoanMart had an exciting weekend with the Clippers winning Friday’s game against the Spurs but unfortunately the Clippers  Sunday game versus the Warriors came out a loss. Friday’s final road game in the series was a win for the Clippers in San Antonio. The final score was 120 to 108 with the Clippers coming out on top. Clippers top players performed very well against the Spurs. Chris Paul scored 36 points and had 11 assists while Blake Griffin scored 15 points and had 9 rebounds. Surprisingly Mo Williams scored a season-high 33 points with 7 three-pointers made and 2 of them in the last few minutes of the game! It was great to finally see our Clippers beat the Spurs!

Sunday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors didn’t go as well as Friday’s game but the Clippers still played fairly well. The Clippers ended up losing 93 to 97 against Golden State. The Clippers were off to a slow start scoring only 16 in the first quarter to the Warriors’ 28 points but the Clippers almost made up for it in the final quarter scoring 29 to the Warrior’s 19 points. Clippers All-Stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul scored 27 and 23 points each at their first game back in the Staples Center in a long time. Griffin had 3 assists and Paul had 5 assists and 3 steals.

It was a tough loss for the Clippers at home but tonight’s game is a whole new opportunity to regain some momentum back! Tonight the Clippers take on the Boston Celtics at home starting at 7:30pm. The Clippers are now 23 and 16 after this weekend’s games, so let’s cheer on the Clippers to another victory tonight to be tied for the leading position in the Pacific Division. Another down to the wire game for the Clippers brought their record to 22 and 15. Throughout the first half the Nets had a large lead of 57 to the Clippers 45. In the second half the Clippers did make a comeback scoring a total of 55 points compared to the Nets 44. The Clippers All-Stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin scored 22 points and 28 points in Wednesday night’s game against the Nets. Paul had 10 assists and 5 steals while Griffin had a total of 17 monster rebounds. The Clippers bench players only scored 22 points compared to the Nets 34. The Clippers came back in the second half of the game but not far enough to secure a win in the final moments of the game. New Jersey’s top players Kris Humphries scored 12 points and Deron Williams scored a total of 21 points.
